I truly believe, one who has the greatest awe of the scriptures – brimming with child-like wonder, anticipation, and excitement over it – is one who has been most frequently and prayerfully in its pages. Too much time outside of it produces a cold, calm perspective. Words given by love Himself, treasured in fellowship with Him, will soon become all-in-all, for the one who stands closest to the fire always receives the greatest warmth.
