Welcome to my blog
Hi! I’m Aubrey Breedlove, wife to a dashing businessman, mom of 5 (counting my daughter-in-love!), children’s author, songwriter, and journal collector. I love hugs, teacups, gathering berries into baskets, and searching for seashells with friends. Seeing a person’s handwriting, sloppy or skilled, feels like an honor, as do long conversations about Jesus, writing, literature, and life. I love my Bible and love to pray.

As you read, I hope you’re inspired in your creative pursuits and your walk with Jesus, and that you forge ahead with both, never giving up. If I know you, I love you. And if I don’t know you, I’m sure I would if I did.

My… Continue Reading →

Lizzie.. “my life is a calamity.” Izaac, “do you live in Africa and are you starving to death?” Lizzie.. “I’m starving for freedom from school!” Izaac with a smile: “All you… Continue Reading →
- Yashunta- what??Yashuntafun. That is the name of the dirt road we lived on for 355 days from January 20, 2024 – January 10, 2025. Our house was reflective of the name of the street – old, out-of-the-way, and quirky – and visitors either loved it and were inspired by it, or didn’t say anything. Mature flowering… Continue Reading →
- Family RivalryI probably shouldn’t be telling you this. But there is a rivalry in my family. And this is why. Connoisseur One of us is a coffee connoisseur. With an expensive, consecrated hand grinder, a scale, a sleek pour over kettle, science-y coffee gadgets, fruit-noted beans stored in the freezer until ready for use, and hundreds… Continue Reading →
