Poem of Friendship

April 6, 2024

Dedicated with love to my Jacksonville-season friends. I’m thankful for all the Lord has done and continues to do through our friendship. 💗 A poem to keep in our hearts as each white handkerchief farewell commences...

My beautiful friends

are like dew-dotted roses,

blue skies over gardens

with pansies and posies.

My sweet-natured friends

are like spring-colored parties,

Tea in fine porcelain,

And bramble-less berries enjoyed by all.

My wise, thoughtful friends

are like Ireland’s castles

on hills dressed in grasses,

tall lighthouses beaming on oceans.

My passionate friends

are like frolicking fillies

when autumn’s crisp coolness rolls in.

These friendships remind me

what heaven must be

with the love of the Father abounding.

Oh if the friendships there

are as dear as here

– blessed eternity!
