Spring

Spring is finally on its way to save us from the indoors! YAY! Although I enjoy winter for its sparkling snow; scenic, uncovered trees and hot chocolate by the fire, I can’t deny that the unrelenting, sub-zero temperatures are not my favorite. Being trapped indoors for days on end with two energetic boys (3 if you include their father) and a newborn was a bit much at times. But I guess if there wasn’t a winter to despise, there would be no joy in spring. Let me tell you, there is JOY in spring for this family! It’s a wonderful feeling to know my kids are outside running, digging in the dirt, climbing trees, getting fresh air and exercise; not to mention using up their energy OUT of doors and not in my house. They can yell, scream and shout like Pharoah and Moses to their hearts’ content and don’t have to be told to use their “inside” voices.
This spring is especially fun because it’s Elijah’s first year for soccer, so that will take us outdoors as a family quite a bit. Not only that but it will be time to plant a garden and this year we’ll use the vegetables to make homemade baby food for Izaac – one of my favorite things to do! (thanks Sara and Melissa).
We’re also excited about Easter and cheezy or not, I am determined to find matching outfits for all three boys.
It’s going to be a great spring!

The End of Winter
“Winter honey, let’s move along, it’s Spring’s turn now,” said Winter’s mother. And everyone lived happily ever after. The end.

Hurray for spring!!
